Zev Barkoff comments
Mr Barkoff has written numerous studies and considered one of the top
men in the correctional field. He has stated most of this is in the
formative stages and there is nothing concrete.
He admits there have been talks with some small town officials about labor
pools. He estimates the construction time could be as short as one year to
a fully functional facility.
When asked about potential internees Zev said they would be possible
dissidents. He said Homeland Security is concerned about the damage that
the Internet could do in a time of crisis and martial law. Arrests could
be sweeping - similar to the Japanese experience after Pearl Harbor.
